Tottenham honcho Levy weighs up Osimhen price tag amid striker hunt

Tottenham Hotspur have been looking to sign a new striker this summer transfer window, and they have been linked with a move for Napoli ace Victor Osimhen, who is possibly the most ambitious signing that the North Londoners could make in the current transfer market.

The North Londoners are said to be prioritising a move for marquee number nine this summer, with Australian gaffer Ange Postecoglou himself admitting that bringing in a new centre-forward is a thing of prime concern for the Lilywhites. (h/t Football.London)

Tottenham face Osimhen battle amid Chelsea and PSG interest

Osimhen has been mentioned as a possible target for Spurs over the past week, as Football Insider claimed that the North Londoners are prepared to rub shoulders with Chelsea to land the 25-year-old this summer.

The report also suggested that Daniel Levy & Co. would be prepared to offer some of the players from the current roster to push the Naples-based club into a possible deal for the Nigerian international.

In a recent report, Sky Sports went on to admit that the former Lille striker’s future is very much in limbo. The outlet reports that Spurs Premier League rivals Chelsea are currently locked in for negotiations with the Serie A side, and the Blues are pushing Romelu Lukaku in a possible cash-plus-player swap.

PSG are also keen on adding the 25-year-old this summer, which will add to Spurs competition.

However, Conte is reluctant to let go of Osimhen, and the Italian wants to keep him at Diego Armando Maradona Stadium for the upcoming season.

Napoli are demanding a mighty fee for the Nigerian star, and it is something I don’t see Daniel Levy paying up as of now. The club would rather target cheaper alternatives like Dominic Solanke, Jonathan David, and Ivan Toney.
