Fabrizio Romano confirms Wolves winger Pedro Neto is highly appreciated at Tottenham
According to transfer guru Fabrizio Romano, Wolves winger Pedro Neto is on the list of Tottenham targets for the summer transfer window.
The Lilywhites are expected to accelerate their transfer dealings this week, as boss Ange Postecoglou continues his search for a striker and wide forward. Archie Gray has been the sole acquisition in the ongoing summer transfer window, but with the new Premier League season inching closer, it is high time Ange Postecoglou pushes for further signings.
Fabrizio Romano claims that Tottenham appreciate Pedro Neto and rate him very highly. As a result, the Wolves star features in the north London club’s shortlist of targets.
“Pedro Neto remains a player really appreciated and very highly rated by Tottenham,” the Italian journalist said on a Playback Livestream recently.
“So, for sure, he is one of the players they’ve always had on the list. Let’s see if they will decide to accelerate, but I expect Tottenham to be busy starting from next week.”
Pedro Neto has entered the transfer market as a sought-after commodity off the back of a highly productive yet injury-hit campaign with Wolves. The 24-year-old, who represented Portugal at the Euro 2024, had a notable season with the Wanderers, contributing 11 assists and three goals in 24 appearances across all competitions.
With his combination of pace, dynamism, flair and invention, Neto would enhance Tottenham’s attacking unit while adding much-needed depth to the squad. With Dejan Kulusevski highly inconsistent, Bryan Gil loaned out and Manor Solomon failing to make a significant impact in the pre-season tour, Spurs’ need for reinforcements in wide areas is clear.
Ange Postecoglou needs a consistent source of creativity and goals from wide areas, and Neto-barring his patchy injury record at Wolves—could be ideal. The Portuguese flyer, who earns £50,000 per week at Molineux, has the attributes to make a huge difference and take Spurs’ attack to a new level. Due to his ability to operate on both flanks as well as centrally, he’d also keep senior figures such as Son Heung-min, Richarlison and James Maddison on their toes.
Having appreciated Neto for some time now, Spurs must make a concrete effort to sign him from Wolves if they really feel the player is capable of adding a different variety to our attack. The Lilywhites will compete in the Europa League next season and need a deeper squad to do well across multiple competitions. Pep Guardiola even called the player ‘incredible’ once.

Neto, in our opinion, would be a smashing addition to Postecoglou’s ranks. It would be a major step up in his career, potentially helping us compete for Champions League spots and trophies in the coming seasons.
