Tottenham Hotspur are looking at a probable mass exodus in the ongoing summer transfer window as Daniel Levy continues to push selling the surplus players at White Hart Lane. This is a process of raising funds to reinvest in the squad while Ange Postecoglou looms to build on his successful season at Hotspur Way.
There are a number of players linked with a move away from Spurs, and former Real Madrid left-back Sergio Reguilon is one of those players. The Spaniard has endured a difficult time since moving to North London in a £32 million transfer from Real Madrid. His time at the club has been defined by consistent loan spells away from N17, and Levy is keen to put an end to sorting out the 27-year-old’s future every other window.
Turkish giants battle for Reguilon
Sergio Reguilon has been linked to a move away from White Hart Lane this summer. Turkish duo Fenerbahce and Galatasaray are looking to bolster their left-back position with the Spanish international, per Fichajes.
Both clubs fought at the apex of the Turkish Super Lig last season, and they are set to rub shoulders in another off-the-pitch derby as they vie for Reguilon’s signatures.
Fenerbahce are looking to sign a full-back as they prepare for Ferdi Kadioglu’s sale. Kadioglu has been linked with a move away from the Turks in a probable deal that could rise to €35–40 million. And Jose Mourinho has recognised his former player as a possible solution to replace the departing 24-year-old.
Levy looks to offload surplus players
Sergio Reguilon has also been linked with a move to Barcelona; however, there have been no further proceedings as they are unlikely to fork out the financials that the club would demand for the 27-year-old.
The £2.76 million-a-year player has already been told to find a new club this summer by the officials at Tottenham, and they are hoping that a move away from N17 materialises soon.
