Tottenham Hotspur would be looking to start the season on a high, something that they did last in the last campaign as Ange Postecoglou prepares to take charge of his second season at White Hart Lane.
The North Londoners have been building blocks in the summer transfer window and have assembled an exciting team going into their season opener against Leicester City.
High expectations for Postecoglou’s Spurs
Ange Postecoglou is expected to pull the club upwards in the Premier League table, and the expectations from the Spurs supporters would be high going into the season after nearly missing out on Champions League football in the last campaign.
It is these expectations and the pressure that comes with it that the Lilywhites will have to start dealing with on a consistent basis. With Arsenal and Manchester City being the favourites to compete for the Premier League title once again, the two other spots in the top four are up for grabs.
Neville backs Spurs for top four
Former Manchester United right-back Gary Neville tipped the North Londoners to finish in the top four for the next season. He tipped Arsenal to take the Premier League title while having City as the runner-ups before tipping United to take the bronze. He did say it with a slight dig at the club, but he acknowledged Spurs to finish fourth in his season predictions.

Neville said (via. BBC)
“I’ve gone for Arsenal. Like I did last year as well. Thinking they’re going to go that one step further, and they’re getting closer every time. This could be their year. Manchester City second, Manchester United third, although I say that with a laugh, Tottenham fourth. I mean, Manchester United the season before had a good season. The last one was a disaster. I do think they’ll improve enormously.”
