Tottenham's £3.64m star could be 'the dream icing on the cake' for club's summer business

Tottenham Hotspur have enjoyed a brilliant summer transfer window as they have managed to get their hands on some quality players, and the Lilywhites will be looking to ensure that they end the off-season on a high by meeting the outgoing goals as well.

The Lilywhites have been looking to offload multiple players this summer to ensure that they make space for the newcomers at Hotspur Way.

Spurs midfielder Giovani Lo Celso has been linked with a move away from White Hart Lane this summer as he looks to call the curtains on a difficult time that he has ensured following his move to N17.

He is one of the players that many expected to get going and rejuvenate his career after Ange Postecoglou took over the reins at White Hart Lane. However, the Argentine hasn’t been able to complement such expectations with consistent minutes on the pitch.

And with exit rumours taking the paper surrounding Gio, Spanish giants Real Betis have been linked with a move for the £3.64 million star.

Betis have been looking to replace an exit-linked Nabil Fekir this summer. The Frenchman has been linked with a move to the Saudi Pro League this summer, and that would help the La Liga side invest in Lo Celso.

Betis keen on the Argentine maestro

Giovani Lo Celso enjoyed a successful spell at Estadio Benito Villamarín, and they would be hoping he replicates his form when he takes the Betis badge once again.

Spanish publication Estadio Deportivo states that Real Betis sees acquiring Lo Celso following Fekir’s departure as ‘the dream icing on the cake.’

Tottenham would be hoping that Betis takes Gio out of their hands this summer, as it would not only make space in the squad but also give them breathing room on their

wage book. Let’s see if the La Liga side can go ahead and get the deal wrapped up this summer.
