Tottenham have just snapped up big Dom from Bournemouth and we expect the new #19 to start against Leicester City. Solid performances in these initial games could help Solanke nail down his spot as the starting striker.
In a team that creates as many chances as Ange Postecoglou’s Spurs do, Solanke is expected to receive a lot of chances to score goals and it all comes down to whether or not the 26-year-old can do it on a regular basis.

Having spent a significant chunk on his association, Solanke is bound to be a key part of Postecoglou’s plans for the upcoming season which would leave Richarlison wondering – what does the future hold for him?
Flattered to deceive
Richarlison himself was bought by Tottenham for significant fee from Everton during Antonio Conte’s time at the club but the Brazilian has flattered to deceive. The talent is obvious but except for a run of few games last season, he has not been consistent.
Real Madrid manager Carlo Ancelotti gave a glowing endorsement to the struggling striker during his time as Everton’s coach. It’s fair to say that Spurs fans are yet to see what the legendary managerial figure saw in him.
“Richarlison was a fantastic talent before me [Ancelotti’s arrival last month] and will be a fantastic talent after me. He has skills and ability… power and strength and speed. He is really the complete striker.”

Warnock expects Richarlison to leave
Former footballer and BBC pundit Stephen Warnock, speaking to Sky Sports (12/08/24 at 11:40 am) has made a revelation that he expects the Brazilian to leave the club on loan this summer in search of regular game time.
“I have got a feeling Richarlison will go out on loan. I just don’t think he will sit there and be happy, with a new striker coming into the club and knowing he is playing second fiddle. Even in the wide areas, I think he will get to a point where he will go ‘no, I am going to have to go, I really do’.”
While there is no doubting the fact that Solanke is likely to be the starting striker for Spurs, it’s highly unlikely that Postecoglou would let Richarlison leave this transfer window without enough time to sign a replacement.

We’ve seen last season that the Brazilian could have a crucial impact in Postecoglou’s team and might have an important role to play off the bench this season. Only time will tell us how Richarlison’s future plays out between now and the end of the transfer window.
