4-goal midfielder with an Ange Postecoglou connection snubs Tottenham for move to London club

Tottenham Hotspur have revamped their transfer policy off late as the North Londoners look to sign players who are young and possess high potential that Ange Postecoglou can shape as per their playing style in the long term.

Daniel Levy has pulled off some bargain transfers in the ongoing window, and he will look to make some more highly-rated signings before the conclusion of the ongoing window.

Spurs have a plethora of talents, with Lucas Bergvall, Yang Min-hyuk, and Archie Grey arriving at White Hart Lane this summer.

Spurs’ interest in Kelly dashed as youngster opts for Millwall

The North Londoners have been eyeing another highly rated starlet as they dip into Ange Postecoglou’s former side Celtic’s list of highly touted starlets as they look to bring Daniel Kelly to Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

The Lilywhites have been linked with a move for Kelly for some time; however, the four-goal youngster has rejected an opportunity to move to North London this summer.

Kelly enjoyed a successful breakthrough season with Celtic in the past campaign as he accumulated 28 appearances for Brendan Rodgers’ side, which garnered interest from the Lilywhites and German champions Bayer Leverkusen.

Kelly snubs Tottenham for Millwall

Despite the interest from the aforementioned sides, the player has opted to rather move to Millwall, per Football Insider. The reports suggest that the decision to move there is owing to a quicker pathway to the first team as he looks to impress in the English tier two in the brand new season.

Kelly will be playing with former Spurs defender Japhet Tanganga at The Den. The Tottenham Hotspur academy graduate moved to the South East London side on a free transfer earlier this summer.

Tottenham’s interest in Kelly will be Ange-driven, as he would be aware of the quality that the 2005-born midfielder possesses. However, he has gone on to reject Spurs’ approach for an easier pathway to senior game time.

And Spurs would still be keeping a keen eye on his development and whether they could consider vying for his signatures in a year’s time.
