The arrival of Jordan Teze from PSV Eindhoven could facilitate Vanderson’s move to Tottenham
For the past week or so, Tottenham Hotspur’s links with AS Monaco star Vanderson have been growing. Emerson Royal found himself on the club’s periphery following the rise of Pedro Porro at right-back. As a result, the Brazilian was offloaded by Tottenham.
The Lilywhites have recently sanctioned the sale of Emerson to AC Milan and are now looking at potential replacements. AS Monaco’s Vanderson has emerged as a concrete target.
Vanderson has been impressive with his performances ever since arriving in Europe from South America two and a half years ago. The two-cap Brazil international has made 85 appearances across all competitions for Monaco, registering six goals and 10 assists.
Despite a knee and hip injury limiting him to only 20 Ligue 1 appearances this past season, the 23-year-old still managed to play a key role during the business end to help his club clinch the second spot in the Ligue 1 table. The way Vanderson consistently starred for the Ligue 1 outfit from late March to early May has expectedly gone unnoticed.

Now, according to a report from French outlet Foot Mercato, Jordan Teze’s impending arrival from PSV Eindhoven is in expectation of Vanderson’s departure, potentially to Tottenham.
Monaco are set to welcome Teze from PSV Eindhoven this week, and once the Dutchman’s arrival is rubber-stamped after passing a medical which is scheduled for Monday, the exit of Vanderson could accelerate. The full package to take Teze from PSV to Monaco is in the ballpark of €12 million.
Vanderson, who featured and registered an assist in his team’s Ligue 1 opening-day victory over newly-promoted AS Saint-Etienne on Saturday evening, would cost €32m plus add-ons and the north Londoners are set to submit an offer.
The potential arrival of Teze indicates Vanderson’s time at the Principality is coming to an end. Adi Hutter’s Monaco have seemingly accepted it and done well to find his replacement. This is good news for Spurs, who want a new right-back regardless of Ange Postecoglou’s recent admission about Djed Spence.
The Monaco full-back’s arrival at N17 would see him compete with Porro for a spot in Ange Postecoglou’s starting XI every week. As Spence is expected to stay after impressing in the pre-season, the entry of Vanderson would see Spurs add significant depth in the right-back position.
