Waddingham has received raving reviews following his breakthrough season with Brisbane Roar in the previous campaign, where he netted seven goals in eighteen League appearances.

Tottenham’s interest in the player has been public since April, when Football Insider reported Spurs interest as the North Londoners were touted as one of several clubs vying for the teen’s services. And Postecoglou’s presence meant that the Lilywhites were touted as torchbearers in Waddingham’s pursuit.

However, the same outlet now suggests that the player is more likely to move to Championship side Stoke City or Hull City, with both clubs keen to acquire his signatures this summer. And Spurs is no longer mentioned as a potential destination.
The North Londoners have a plethora of young strikers in their ranks, including the likes of Will Lankshear, Alejo Veliz, and Dane Scarlett. This must have prompted Daniel Levy & Co. to move on from Waddingham and rather bring back the players already at the club.
