Tottenham Hotspur added to Everton’s start-of-season woes as Ange Postecoglou’s men scored four past Pickford in the Premier League at the weekend. It was a game that could have gone either way after Dominic Solanke pulled up an ankle injury going into the fixture, and the North Londoners were left with a striking dilemma.
However, the Spurs pulled up on the night and put their King Power woes to bed with an exemplary performance.
Tottenham put King Power woes behind them with dominant win
Yves Bissouma put the hosts ahead with a thunderbolt as he put the Lilywhites ahead in the first quarter of the game. Spurs skipper Son Heung Min netted the second for the Lilywhites before the referee blew the halftime whistle. Defender Cristian Romero scored the third, while Spurs’ South Korean hero made it four.
While Tottenham were thriving on the pitch, debutant Wilson Odobert was quietly making a strong impression on the game. We think that he is the Nico Williams alternative that Daniel Levy signed in the ongoing summer window, a signing that can prove to be a real bargain in the years to come.

Spurs boss Ange Postecoglou shared similar sentiments, as the Australian boss suggested how the French winger is different from every other wide player at N17. He also went on to praise how the player showed the hunger to succeed in one-on-one duels against Everton.
Ange praises Odobert’s potential: “Different from other wingers”
Speaking in the press conference after the game, Ange said: (via. Football. London)
“Exciting. Like I said, he’s different from our other wingers. He goes at his opponent and, you know, even if he wasn’t successful, he went at him again and I think that’s exactly why we bought him to the club. I mean, he’s 19-years-old, his first game for his new club at home in front of 60,000. Yeah, really exciting.”

Tottenham signed Odobert in a £25 million deal from Burnley, and the North Londoners will be hoping that he goes on to become one of the more exciting players on the Spurs roster in the years to come.
