Tottenham Hotspur will be looking to compound on their incomings in the final week of the ongoing summer transfer window as the North Londoners look to hand Ange Postecoglou the needed ammunition to get Spurs firing throughout the season.
One of the priority signings that the club is looking at is a right-back backup as they look to replace Emerson Royal. The Brazilian defender departed White Hart Lane to move to Serie A giants AC Milan earlier this summer.
While the Lilywhites have a backup right fullback in Djed Spence, they are looking to make a move for a new face.
Ange Postecoglou targets Vanderson to bolster defensive options
Tottenham have been subject to links with Monaco full-back Vanderson as they look to acquire a high-potential profile to be an understudy to Pedro Porro. Spurs have made a £25.4million bid to bring the former Gremio ace to N17, per L’Equipe.
And injury expert Dr. Rajpal Brar insists that the North Londoners would not have to worry about the injury problems for the 23-year-old, who is claimed to be a ‘huge perfectionist’ by the former Rangers manager Philippe Clement, as he suffered with knee and hip issues along the previous campaign.

The injuries were suffered at different times and it makes it a low risk transfer for Spurs, claims the injury expert.
Injury concerns addressed
Speaking in an exclusive interview with Tottenham News, Dr. Brar said:
“He had knee and hip injuries last season and looks like they were moderate injuries based on the time out, which was over 30 days for each. The good news is that they were at very different times of the season so likely not knock-on effects. Wouldn’t expect any red flags in his medical unless there is some outlier occurring.“

Should the transfer happen, it could most likely suggest an end to Spence’s time in North London.
The fact that Vanderson can play in the full-back as well as wing-back role, gives Ange the mobility to work with multiple in-game tactics.
We should see if the North Londoners fortify the attempts to land the Brazilian international this week.
