Arsenal look set to hand Tottenham crushing blow in Skov Olsen pursuit

Tottenham Hotspur had their redemption last weekend following a tough start to their Premiership League season. The North Londoners have been looking at the final days of the transfer window with the hope of securing some signings that could compound Ange Postecoglou’s roster for the rest of the season.

It has been a winning window for Daniel Levy & Co., as they have not only acquired some top players but also ensured that the surplus is cleared at Hotspur Way.

Tottenham hot on Skov Olsen trail

The Lilywhites have been looking at a potential move for another young player who has been likened to Mohamed Salah and Arjen Robben by journalist Klaus Egelund. In his words, “He is an Eden Hazard type. But, since he’s left-footed and plays on the right, you could better compare him to Robben or Salah.” (via. Het Nieuwsblad)

Market opportunity?

Ange Postecoglou has a plethora of wide forwards at his disposal at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, starting with Kulusevski and Brennan Johnson on the right, complemented by Heung Min Son and Wilson Odobert on the left. They also possess Timo Werner, who is originally a striker but has featured on the left flank since donning the Lilywhites badge.

However, we have seen Spurs take up market opportunities when they arise, with the transfer of Archie Gray being one of those examples this summer, and bringing the 24-year-old to Hotspur Way is one of those opportunities that Levy can explore. Spurs have already laid ground to his signatures, with links reaching as far as March for a possible Tottenham move for the £21.1m rated forward.

With only two days to go for the window, Spurs will have to react swiftly if they are to land Skov Olsen this summer especially considering Arsenal pulling strings to land him

from under Spurs noses.
