After securing future prospects for the majority of this transfer window, Spurs are now on the lookout for securing some senior operators before the transfer window shuts.
They are, however, likely to miss out on a high-profile player who was also being targeted by their North London rivals, Arsenal.
Kingsley Coman edging towards a move to Al Hilal
As reported by Fabrizio Romano, Bayern Munich have received a fresh bid for Kingsley Coman from Saudi Pro League side Al Hilal, and they’re likely to accept it.
Barring any late intervention from Premier League clubs, with Spurs, Arsenal and Liverpool having been interested in the Frenchman, or Barcelona out in Spain, Coman could be on his way to Saudi Arabia before the transfer window slams shut.
The current Barcelona coach Hansi Flick is a big fan of the France international, who scored the winning goal in the Champions League final four years ago to help him complete a historic treble at Bayern.
Coman, valued at €50 million (£42.3 million) and currently on a €17m-per-year contract at Bayern that runs for three more years, has had a penchant for scoring important goals for Bayern despite a well-documented injury record, having delivered for the Bavarians 64 goals and 66 assists in 296 appearances across all competitions.
Let him go
Tottenham are unlikely to move for Coman now.
Taking into account the Frenchman’s €50m valuation, Daniel Levy’s frugality, the fact that Spurs have already broken the bank this window for Dominic Solanke, Coman’s wages and injury record, it’s safe to say there are way too many hurdles here for Spurs to even entertain the idea of going after Coman.

For a player that has been looking to be on the way down at least in terms of season-long fitness, a move to Saudi would actually fit Coman more than the intense life of the Premier League.
