Manor Solomon sends message to Tottenham after joining Leeds United on loan

Manor Solomon wishes Tottenham luck after sealing Leeds United loan move

Tottenham Hotspur have done an incredible job of moving players out in this summer transfer window. They released Ryan Sessegnon, Japhet Tanganga and Tanguy Ndombele, while the likes of Oliver Skipp, Emerson Royal and Joe Rodon have been sold.

The Lilywhites have loaned out Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg and Bryan Gil to Marseille and Girona respectively, and on Tuesday, another player joined that list.

Manor Solomon completed his switch to Championship outfit Leeds United on loan from Tottenham. The Israel international took to his Instagram account to express his happiness to join Leeds United on a season-long loan and also had a message for Tottenham and our fans.

On his Instagram story, Manor Solomon wrote: “Good luck for the season @spursofficial. Sure you guys will smash it.”

Tottenham signed Solomon on a free transfer from Shakhtar Donetsk in the summer of 2023. The speedy winger impressed in a loan spell across London at Fulham in the 2022/23 season, and that persuaded Spurs to sign him when an opportunity arose. Unfortunately, the £60k-a-week star endured a disastrous debut campaign at the Hotspur Way.

After playing just six games, the Israeli winger suffered a serious meniscus injury that ruled him out for the rest of the 2023/24 season. He worked hard over the summer and returned to full fitness but had no place in Big Ange’s squad, especially after the arrival of Wilson Odobert from Burnley.

To get regular game and return back to his peak fitness levels, Spurs have decided to loan out Solomon to Leeds. Solomon, nicknamed “pocket rocket” by the Sky Sports Super Sunday panel, will be hoping to make an immediate impact at Elland Road and help Leeds achieve top-flight promotion after Daniel Farke’s men narrowly missed out last season. He has the opportunity to regain his form and confidence by playing more regularly in the intense Championship football.

With his dribbling, burst of pace, creativity and flair, the diminutive attacker can become a fan favourite at Elland Road. As Spurs continue to rebuild their squad under Ange Postecoglou, Solomon’s loan move underlines our club’s dedication to both player development and preserving a competitive first team.

It will be interesting to see how the Kfar Saba-born talent fares for Daniel Farke’s side in the second tier of English football. However, the matter of fact that Spurs have only sanctioned a dry loan for Solomon suggests he may still have a future at our club.
