published :

Tottenham Hotspur will be looking to clear the deadwood going into the conclusive hours of the summer window as they look to end what had been a successful summer transfer dealings at White Hart Lane.

Daniel Levy and his team have done a massive job of bringing in quality players in the ongoing summer transfer window; however, there is still a massive job to be done before the window turns to close. The officials at N17 have to sanction sales for multiple players going into the final hours of the window as they look to clear the surplus at White Hart Lane.

Sergio Reguilon and Givani Lo Celso are two names who have been subject to ample links away from Hotspur Way; however, nothing has materialised despite the rumours, and Spurs continue to get more desperate with every passing tick of the clock.

The aforementioned duo are part of the mass exodus that the Lilywhites planned and successfully carried out in the window. And Tottenham gaffer Ange Postecoglou was quizzed about their probable exits away from White Hart Lane, where the Australian acknowledged how the representatives of both players are working and grinding to find possible options.

Speaking in the press conference ahead of Tottenham’s visit to face Newcastle United, Postecoglou said: (via. Football.London)

“Not really sure. Both players are exploring options, and I don’t get too involved in that. It’s been them, their representatives, and the club. I don’t know what activity there is, but they’re exploring options.”

The contracts of both players are due within under twelve months, and Spurs would be looking to recoup at least a sum of what they paid to bring them to the N17. Moreover, their significant wages on the books would be a massive weight to take away going into the season.

At the moment, there are no concrete links for both players, but that

is expected to change as we walk into the final hours of the summer transfer window.
