Spurs’ manager Ange Postecoglou recently admitted that he had been a great admirer of Wilson throughout recent times and the one who led the club’s pursuit of the youngster throughout the entire summer transfer window. The Australian international opined via football.london:

Wilson was great last week. I was wrapped to get him. He was one I was really keen on all summer, We had to be patient with him as the Dom Solanke deal went on a bit longer than we thought it would and we had to get that done first. He did great for us. It was his first game, as a 19-year-old, and he was exciting to watch. He will get more and more comfortable with us. I don’t mind players coming in early and us giving them exposure early as it gets it out of the way.

Regarding the other two youngsters, Archie Gray and Lucas Bergvall, a Greece-born footballer from Tottenham shared insights into how well they’ve adapted to the squad. Despite being just 18, the pair have integrated seamlessly into the team. The former South Melbourne player praised their impressive skills, noting that both Gray and Bergvall have a remarkable ability to absorb relevant information and maintain a high level of intensity in training.

They are 18, but it’s the way they have fitted in with the whole group, their ability to take in information and training at a certain level as the training is intense. The capacity to do that, from a physical capacity, has been really good. It didn’t change anything materially in what I wanted to accomplish this transfer window.

As for Tottenham Hotspur’s recent performance in the ongoing Premier League season, the Lilywhites have remained undefeated in their first two matches. They kicked off the season with a 1-1 draw against Leicester City in the opener, followed by a dominant 4-0 victory over Everton. This strong start has placed them in 9th position on the points table.

Up next, Spurs will face Newcastle United at St. James’ Park on Sunday. This fixture will be a crucial test as they look to build on their early momentum.
