Tottenham Hotspur will return to club football this weekend following the international break, and the Lilywhites are scheduled to face Arsenal on Sunday as White Hart Lane prepares to host the North London Derby early in the season.
And while the visitors are dealing with hefty injury concerns, Spurs have received multiple injury boosts going into the game. Summer signings Dominic Solanke and Micky van de Ven are set to be available for the weekend’s fixture after the duo missed out on Tottenham’s last game ahead of the international break against Newcastle United.
Tottenham assess Bissouma ahead of Arsenal clash
However, all the news isn’t as good for the Australian gaffer, as he has to sweat on the Yves Bissouma injury. The Mali international was enjoying a splendid time with his country, scoring two goals in two successive matches in African Cup of Nations qualifiers.

Things took a wild turn in the 60th minute in Mali’s game against Eswatini when the Spurs midfielder had to be subbed off following a stamp on his foot. There have been reports of how the former Brighton midfielder caught the first flight back to London to receive the needed treatment and get ready for Sunday’s North London Derby.
What did Ange say?
And two days ahead of the fixture, Tottenham head coach Ange Postecoglou has revealed that the player is set to be accessed to contemplate whether he can play any part in the game against Arsenal. Speaking in his pre-game press conference earlier today, the Australian boss said (via. Tottenham’s official website):
“We had the last of the boys in late yesterday, so we’ll have a look at them today, and everyone’s reporting all well except for Biss. He’s got a bit of an issue, but we’ll have a look at him over the next couple of days and see how it settles.”

There is a chance that Yves would start against Arsenal, at least going by the optimistic sounding Ange Postecoglou. However, if he doesn’t get a nod to start, Rodrigo Bentancur is expected to take his place in Spurs lineup.
