Tottenham had scouts in Arsenal’s Champions League game to watch 27 G/A star

Tottenham Hotspur enjoyed a wonderful summer transfer window where we saw Daniel Levy bring in some exceptional talent to White Hart Lane, which will not only increase the ceiling of the current squad but also help to build a reputation for the new project that the Lilywhites have undertaken under Ange Postecoglou’s tutelage.

Those arrivals have paved the way for more statement signings, and the officials at Hotspur Way are already working on a blueprint to land big-name players who can make an impact on the team.

To pursue those players, the North Londoners have been laying judging grounds as they continue to scout players from across Europe. And Tottenham have been doing so in the Champions League fixtures along the week.

There were reports about Spurs having their scouts in Club Brugge’s 1-0 loss against Borussia Dortmund, and to build on those scouting rumours, Tottenham had their scout present in Thursday’s match between Arsenal and Atalanta, per Graeme Bailey.

Tottenham, alongside Premier League rivals Liverpool and Newcastle United, had their best personnel in Bergamo on Thursday.

While there have been no reports about the particular team players that the club was scouting, it is said that the progress of Ederson and Ademola Lookman had peaked the representatives interest following rumours surrounding a move for both players along the recently concluded summer transfer window.

Lookman has been one of the most informed wingers in Europe at the moment, and all the elite sides have been looking to pursue his signatures, while Spurs have established links for a move for Ederson.

Atalanta’s opposition on the night, Arsenal, has also been linked with a move for both players.

Lookman has netted 17 goals and provided 10 assists in the previous season, including a hat-trick to defeat the invincible Bayer Leverkusen side in the Europa League finals.

It is to be seen if Tottenham pursue a move for either of the players in the upcoming transfer windows.
