Tottenham Hotspur are coming on the back of a brilliant summer transfer window where they not only brought on a list of commendable signings, but while the window is concluded, the club has already started laying the groundwork for the transfer intervals in 2025, with Lecce’s Patrick Dorgu being one of the anticipated targets.
The Lilywhites had been looking to bring in an understudy for Destiny Udogie in the summer window; however, the Lilywhites weren’t able to do so, and it’s one of the transfer priorities that will carry forward.
Tottenham target Dorgu amidst Arsenal and Chelsea Interest
Patrick Dorgu has been an established target for Spurs, with the club having made contact to sign the 19-year-old fullback. However, it will not be an easy task to pen his signatures, as London rivals Arsenal and Chelsea are also vying to make a move for Leece’s youngster.
Alongside the aforementioned trio, Italian giants Juventus are also named as a potential destination for Dorgu.
A recent report from TuttoJuve claims that Dorgu’s current employers are working hard behind the scenes to increase his contract, but they would not stand in his way if a €30 million (£25 million) bid were to arrive in the winter transfer window.
The player is said to have been ‘fascinated’ about a potential move to Stamford Bridge while Daniel Levy tries to secure his signatures.
Levy looks to secure the Dane prodigy
Patrick is a massive talent who not only has big strides but also is a reliable player going forward. His contract with Leece runs down in 2027 and he has already made his international debut with Denmark.
For Tottenham to sign him makes perfect sense on paper. Apart from bringing his mighty high potential to White Hart Lane, he is also someone that can feature as an understudy to Udogie before competing with the Italian in the medium term.
We will see if Levy is serious about pursuing Patrick and whether he makes a move for him this winter.
