Crystal Palace open to selling Marc Guehi in 2025 amid Tottenham links
Tottenham Hotspur invested heavily in new players in the past summer transfer window to continue Ange Postecoglou’s rebuilding job.
In Wilson Odobert, Archie Gray, Lucas Bergvall and Yang Min-hyeok, Spurs signed some exciting young talents with high potential. While Ange Postecoglou and his coaching staff look to groom them and unlock their true potential, the Lilywhites have already started planning for the next transfer windows.
Tottenham decided to not sign a central defender in the previous transfer window, meaning Big Ange has only Cristian Romero, Micky van de Ven and Radu Dragusin as current options at his disposal. Ben Davies can operate as a centre-back but he is a left-back by trade and cannot be viewed as a long-term solution to their problems.
Now, according to transfer insider Graeme Bailey, Spurs have been alerted by the situation of Marc Guehi at Crystal Palace.

Newcastle United spent weeks and months of the summer transfer window to prize Marc Guehi away from Crystal Palace but failed in doing so. The Magpies saw four formal bids rejected by Crystal Palace as the South London outfit held out for £75m – Newcastle’s final offer was valued at around £65m.
The 24-year-old centre-back is out of contract at Selhurst Park in the summer of 2026 (Transfermarkt), and if he refuses to pen fresh terms, Graeme Bailey claims the Eagles will sell Guehi next summer. This latest update on the England international has alerted several Premier League clubs, including Tottenham.
It remains to be seen whether the North London outfit decide to make a move for Guehi in the near future. Big Ange could certainly use more quality and depth in the defensive unit, and the Palace skipper would be a quality addition.
The Abidjan-born star, who was arguably England’s best player at the 2024 Euro, will add solidity, pace, aerial prowess and leadership to the side. He is also versatile enough to operate in a back three, and that combined with his Premier League experience—as evidenced by 103 top-flight appearances to date—could help Guehi settle in quickly at Spurs and make an instant impact.

Palace are seemingly open to considering a January sale and if Guehi becomes available, Tottenham must think twice before pouncing on him.
