Eberechi Eze is open to joining Tottenham Hotspur in 2025
Tottenham Hotspur’s offensive department has finally found its feet, with Brennan Johnson and Dominic Solanke delivering in front of the goal on a consistent basis in their last few matches. That has not deterred them from continuing to scour the market for possible improvements.
Crystal Palace star Eberechi Eze has been on their wish list for a few months, and although he had a release clause amounting to £68 million in his contract in the summer, Spurs decided that a striker was their priority and subsequently wrapped up a move for Solanke.
Eze very much remains on their radar and it has emerged as per Football Insider that the English international is open to the prospect of departing Selhurst Park for a new opportunity in 2025. Liverpool are also expected to show an interest in his signing next year.
Eze’s contract at Palace expires in 2027 but Spurs would be able to land him for £68 million next year as well if indeed they decide to materialise their interest. Given that he is currently earning just £100,000 per week in south London, wages should not be an issue for the Lilywhites.
With Son Heung-min entering his 30s, Tottenham need to start planning for life after the South Korean and in Eze, they would have invested in a fantastic long-term option for their left flank. Football Insider’s report adds that he struck 11 goals and had six assists last season, which is a good testimony of his quality.
The 26-year-old, who is even a capable attacking midfielder, still has the best years of his career ahead and would welcome the opportunity to join Spurs as he would continue living in London, a city where he was born and has played in for all of his career barring a short spell on loan at Wycombe.

Liverpool, however, would not let go of the player easily given that they too have been monitoring him for a considerable while. It remains to be seen if the forward is keen on joining Tottenham Hotspur or prefers the Reds, who are perennial Champions League participants and Premier League contenders.
Eze spent a while at the Arsenal academy before moving on to greener pastures. It is kind of reminiscent of Harry Kane, who too was once on Arsenal’s books before carving his legacy in the other half of North London. If Eze can reach anywhere near the same heights, there will be much reason for Spurs to celebrate.
