Dominic Solanke has not had the easiest of careers thus far.

Starting as a promising youngster at Chelsea, he was picked up Liverpool as a teenager for free after being let go by the Blues. However, he failed to impress during his time at Anfield and had to drop down a level to regain form.

This took him to the British south coast as he joined Bournemouth, and over a half-a-decade period he went on from being on of the what-could-have-been players to one of the hottest prospects in English football.

Now 27, Solanke is definitely a late bloomer, but he has finally returned to the top level of football as Tottenham broke the bank for him this summer to bring him to North London in a £65m deal.
