Tottenham Hotspur are set to face Ferencvaros in the Europa League in the midweek as the Lilywhites head coach Ange Postecoglou discusses the injuries at Hotspur Way and how that will impact his team selection going into the upcoming fixtures.
Spurs have been looking at going full throttle in domestic as well as international competitions following what was a slow start to their campaign. While the Greek tactician has finally got his side playing some slick football, however, that has been interpreted with a bunch of injuries.
Tottenham Hotspur face injury crisis as Son and Udogie miss Europa League match
Tottenham have suffered from an early injury crisis, starting with summer signing Wilson Odobert, who pulled off owing to hamstring problems, and his spell on the sidelines is expected to compound to about six more weeks. The Frenchman is accompanied by Brazil international Richarlison in the injury room, a place that the former Everton ace has made his own.
What comes as a bigger blow is the absence of Spurs skipper Heung Min Son. The South Korean has been struggling with hamstring strain, and accompanying him is Italian international Destiny Udogie. The latter had to be replaced at halftime on Sunday, and about the 32-year-old, he was expected to face a late test for Manchester United, but he didn’t make it for the fixture at Old Trafford.
And Postecoglou was quizzed about the injury problems in Spurs camp in his latest press conference, where he confirmed that Son and Destiny Udogie will be missing for the game against Ferencvaros.
Speaking on the official Spurs site, the Australian said:
“Sonny and Destiny are back in London. They’re working away, but they’re not available for this one. Everyone else from the weekend got through the game and is good to go.”

Tottenham should surely be making wholesale changes for the game against Ferencvaros, so it shouldn’t disrupt their plan for Thursday night.
