Tottenham Hotspur enjoyed a magnificent summer transfer window as Daniel Levy brought in some exciting players while ensuring that much of the surplus in Spurs books is shown the door, and as Ange Postecoglou figures out a way to introduce the new faces in his dressing room to the Lilywhites way of play, the officials at Hotspur Way have already started looking at possible transfer targets for the transfer intervals for 2025.
They will certainly be looking at possibilities to compound on their roster in the heart of defence, and Levy could possibly consider going in to sign Everton centre-back Jarrad Branthwaite.
Branthwaite’s signature sought after by multiple Premier League clubs
Branthwaite is one of the best defenders in the English top tier, and any move for him would steal headlines for Ange Postecoglou’s highly touted project at White Hart Lane.
However, it will not be an easy task to bring him to N17 with multiple other Premier League clubs looking to sign the one-capped English international.
Tottenham’s transfer plans hit snag as Liverpool eye Branthwaite
Spurs have suffered a blow in pursuit of his signatures as Liverpool are preparing an offer to secure the player’s signature, per the Daily Mail. This comes as a surprise, as you don’t usually see players moving to the other side of Merseyside given the renowned rivalry.
But it looks like Arne Slot’s side is about to do so as they look to offer mighty fees to sign Branthwaite in 2025.
For Tottenham, this comes as a big blow, as the 22-year-old could have been an ideal replacement for Cristian Romero if he does conclude a move to Real Madrid.
However, at the moment, everything is speculation, and we still have a long way to go to the next window.
