Tottenham Hotspur are in the midst of an injury crisis, with skipper Heung-Min Son being the latest fly to fall. The South Korean ace has not appeared for the Lilywhites since the club’s 3-0 win over Qarabag FC in the Europa League on September 26th. The 32-year-old has been serving the sidelines since with no major update about the injury except the thigh problem that he suffered in the aforementioned fixture.

And while he has not been playing donning the Spurs badge, the former Bayer Leverkusen midfielder also withdrew from South Korea’s squad for the international break.

And looking at the developments, ex-Lilywhites scout Bryan King insists that the South Korean’s injury must be “serious” following the development that forced him out of serving his country in the upcoming international break. He expressed hopes for the player to not be out of action “long-term.”.

Tottenham News did reach out to the club to get an update on Son and the extent of his injury; however, it seems that at the moment they are unable to put a timeline on his return. Speaking in an exclusive interview with Tottenham News, King said:

“Hopefully this isn’t a long-term injury. However, when you have a player of his quality, it must be pretty serious if he hasn’t gone away with the South Korean national team. We will have to wait and see exactly what the state of that injury is.”

Spurs must cope without key player

Rarely do we see Son missing from Tottenham’s lineup; however, the being said Ange Postecoglou has got the North Londoners playing some impressive football without the South Korean.

The past two fixtures against Manchester United and Ferencvárosi yielded a win, and Spurs fans would be hoping that his side can deliver similar results when they travel to Brighton tomorrow.
