Tottenham looking to sign 16y/o defensive midfielder who has a £4.1m release clause

Tottenham honcho Daniel Levy keeps 'huge fee' aside to bring in a marquee player in the winter transfer window.

Tottenham Hospur enjoyed a spectacular summer transfer window where they saw some exceptional incomings while Daniel Levy ensured that the surplus at White Hart Lane is cleared off. While the transfer interval has just concluded, the chiefs at Hotspur Way are already laying bricks to plan their next steps for the upcoming 2025 windows.

The North Londoners have changed their transfer policy since Ange Postecoglou took over the reins at N17 at the start of the previous campaign. Daniel Levy has introduced a trader strategy to bring in highly regarded young talents to the club and nurture them as per the Greek-born tactician’s playing style. 

While the incoming of Dominic Solanke sealed the headlines world wide, we saw Spurs bring in a bunch of highly rated young prospects in Lucas Bergvall, Archie Grey, and Wilson Odobert.

They continue their search for new talent, and in bid to do so, they are looking at another prodigy, as Spurs eye Hertha Berlin sensation Boris Mamuzah Lum. The starlet has a £4.1m release clause in his contract with current employers.

German outlet Bild understands that the Lilywhites are advancing towards acquiring the Hertha Berlin youngster’s services.

The teenager plus his trade as a defensive midfielder after coming up through the ranks at Hertha Berlin. He recently made his debut for the German side against SV Elversberg, and while doing so, he became the youngest player in the history of the club to make his first team bow at the age of 16 years and 363 days.

This shows how highly the player is regarded, and he could be moving to N17. Spurs have been looking at the prospect of signing him. 

He is already said to have visited the training ground at Tottenham and has also reportedly attended three games as the club works in background to land the highly regarded starlet.
