Tottenham Hotspur enjoyed a wonderful summer transfer window where they not only brought in some exciting players but also ensured that the surplus at White Hart Lane was cleared off. And while the window has only recently concluded, the chiefs at Hotspur Way have already started laying the groundwork for the 2025 windows as they look to make a blueprint for the upcoming transfer intervals.
And as they look to bring some highly rated players to the N17, Spurs have kept a keen eye on emerging talents from the EFL over the past few years, and the club has not backed away from forking money if they believe the talent and skillset of the players fit the bill.
We have seen the likes of Djed Spence, Ashley Phillips, and Archie Gray move to Spurs following their impressive showings in the English second tier. And Spurs have another player whom they highly regard in Hayden Hackney.
Tottenham face competition for Hackney
Tottenham are subject to well-established links with Hayden Hackney, with reports over the past few months claiming that Spurs are massive fans of the player. And as per the latest exclusive by Graeme Bailey (via. TBR Football), the North Londoners will face competition for his signatures. Fellow Premier League rivals Aston Villa and Nottingham Forest are also said to be plotting a move for the midfielder following his impressive start to the 2024/25 campaign.
Both the aforementioned clubs could look to move for the player in the winter window.
Moreover, the duo of clubs, along with Wolves, did send scouts to the Hawthorns on Tuesday as they closely followed the 22-year-old in action against West Brom.
Everything is speculation at the moment; we will see if this attributes to a genuine transfer interest from Daniel Levy.
