Tottenham’s winning run came to a robust stop last week as they let Brighton come back from two goals down to lose 3-2 at the Amex.
it’s quite the reality check for the Lilywhites as they disperse for a while owing to the international break, leaving Ange Postecoglou with some hard questions to answer.
At least there’s good news waiting for them in the future.
Tottenham very happy with progress of Luka Vušković, says Fabrizio Romano
Italian football journalist Fabrizio Romano stated on social media platform X (formerly Twitter) recently that Tottenham were happy with how Luka Vušković was faring out in Belgium for Westerlo.
“Tottenham are very happy with Luka Vuskovic’s development now on loan at Westerlo in Belgium.
“17 year old defender has scored a brace last night and he can now count 4 goals (!) already.”

The Croatia U19 international is set to join Spurs next summer, his arrival having been confirmed last summer after the club agreed a £12m fee with Croatian First League side Hajduk Split, handing Vušković a contract running until June 2030.
On loan at Westerlo this season in the Jupiler Pro League, Vušković already has four goals and an assist to his name after ten league appearances.
What about the present?
Tottenham have made quite a few decent calls of late that set them up nicely for the future.
But what about the present? Spurs have some crucial questions to answer if they are to make any headway into the Premier League top four. As things currently stand, they are set up to end in the top half of the league, ostensibly lacking the guile to traverse through a 50–60-game season.
It’ll be exciting to see on an individual level how Vušković and Spurs’ other teenagers fare in the coming years, but they may or may not be able to help the club due to things beyond their control.
