Tottenham Hotspur had been subject to extensive links with a move for Aston Villa midfielder Jacob Ramsey last summer; however, it looks like the Lilywhites pursuit of the highly acclaimed midfielder isn’t done yet, as new reports suggest that the North Londoners have been looking to pursue his signatures in 2025.
Spurs wanted to capitalise on Aston Villa’s financial situation and PSR pressure to land the midfielder, who has been attributed to links with a move to N17 for not only last summer but also since last winter.

Following a bunch of negotiations, Tottenham’s final bid revolved around a £20 million offer with Giovani Lo Celso, which was rejected by the Villans eventually leading for the Argentine maestro to join Real Betis and for Spurs to continue Ramsey’s pursuit.
Tottenham renew interest in Ramsey
Tottenham are set to reignite their pursuit for the English midfielder as Aston Villa are looking to sell him to maximise his value with his contract expiring in 2027, per GiveMeSport.
Unai Emery’s side are looking for a potential £50m windfall for Jacob Ramsey, and alongside the Lilywhites, Newcastle United as well as Arsenal have also expressed interest in securing his signatures.
For Tottenham, the integration of Lucas Bergvall in the team makes you question whether there is still a need for Jacob Ramsey at White Hart Lane. The Swede has been impressing at Hotspur Way, enough for Ange Postecoglou to give him a fair opportunity in the first team, which makes a space for Ramsey hard to find.
