Tottenham Hotspur have been looking to add to their midfield in the upcoming transfer windows, and they have identified former Manchester United midfielder Angel Gomes as a possible target for the 2025 transfer intervals; however, it would not be an easy feat to land the England international, who has been gaining ample of interest from multiple Premier League sides off late.
Gomes has taken strides in his game in the past couple of years in the French top tier, where he features for Lille. And now, at twenty-four (24), he is impressing for the Three Lions with the likes of Aston Villa, Newcastle United, Man United, and Tottenham following his progress closely, per GiveMeSport.
Angel Gomes could leave Lille on free transfer
The report suggests that all the clubs sent scouts to watch the player in action for England on Sunday in Helsinki and were left impressed by what they saw of him. And with his deal running out at the end of the ongoing campaign, the French side are expected to consider selling Gomes for a bargain fee rather than losing him on a free transfer in the following summer.

The interest in Gomes doesn’t end there; Bundesliga clubs alongside some clubs for the Italian top tier are also looking at the 24-year-old; however, there is no clarity about where his next destination will be as there are ‘no firm leaders’ to his signatures at the moment.
For Tottenham, he can bring the creative quality while being a mobile presence on the pitch, something that Ange Postecoglou loves to integrate into his midfield setup.
