There has been a change of transfer strategy at White Hart Lane off late, which has seen Daniel Levy acquire some highly touted young talents at Tottenham Hotspur as he looks to nurture and develop them into their potential within the corridors of Hotspur Way. And we have seen the Lilywhites invest massively to back the policy as Ange Postecoglou looks to sharpen the youngsters as per his playing style.
This has persuaded links with multiple high-potential talents from around Europe in the recent past, and the latest links coming up suggest that Levy is looking to raid London neighbours Chelsea as Spurs express interest in the Blues academy prospect Josh Acheampong.
Premier League and European giants vie for Acheampong
Josh Acheampong is a right back by trade, a position that the Lilywhites are looking to fill since the departure of Emerson Royal in the recently concluded summer transfer window. And while the club does have Djed Spence in the ranks, he hasn’t overly won over Ange Postecoglou just yet, which makes a move for the Cobham teenager a likely prospect.
That being said, it will be difficult for the North Londoners to land the 18-year-old, with Real Madrid looking to test Chelsea’s resolve in the upcoming winter transfer window, per The Independent, as they look to sign a long-term prospect in the defensive role on the right flank owing to Dani Carvajal’s recent injury.

And with Los Blancos, the likes of Liverpool, Borussia Dortmund, and PSG are also vying for Josh Acheampong’s signature.
For Tottenham, it will be difficult to lure the right-back to Tottenham Way given not only the magnitude of clubs involved but also the fact that they can give him an extended run in the first team, and Spurs cannot do so at the moment with Pedro Porro holding the fort on the RB position at N17.
