Incoming Tottenham star Vuskovic linked with Real Madrid swoop
Tottenham Hotspur are expecting to welcome a bright young talent into their setup next year with Luka Vuskovic due to join the club from Croatian side Hajduk Split. He is spending the ongoing season on loan with Belgian Pro League side Westerlo.
The 17-year-old’s signing will be another capture made by Spurs with the aim of securing their long-term future and although minutes for Vuskovic may be hard to come by in his initial months at Hotspur Way, he has the potential to churn out a successful career with the Premier League giants as far as a broader perspective is concerned.
Vuskovic’s potential is so high that even before he steps foot into north London, there is interest in his purchase from perhaps the greatest club in Europe, Real Madrid, Defensa Central has reported. The Whites have adopted a strategy of signing younger players at very low prices and developing them through their Castilla side as well as loans elsewhere in Spain.
Real Madrid are hoping that they are able to lure the young starlet into joining them as they target a defensive revamp in the upcoming months with all their central defenders barring Eder Militao aged over 30. Vuskovic is the third Tottenham player linked with a move to the European champions within a matter of months after Cristian Romero and Pedro Porro were also said to be on their radar.

The price that Los Blancos would be willing to pay to purchase Vuskovic has not been disclosed yet but for the teenager, joining Madrid and the prospect of playing at a club where Luka Modric also did could be a dream. Nevertheless, Tottenham are likely to refute any such offers and if the defender were to leave, it would only be on a loan to a club where he can play regular minutes.
