As Tottenham look to get back to winning ways as club football returns, they also yearn for swift recovery of their injured players.
Ahead of their weekend Premier League game, the Tottenham manager provided some positive update on that front.
Ange Postecoglou provides injury updates on Richarlison, Son Heung-min, and Lucas Bergvall
Ahead of his side’s home Premier League game against West Ham this Saturday, Tottenham manager Ange Postecoglou discussed, among other things, the return of Richarlison, Lucas Bergvall, and captain Son Heung-min.
“We’ve taken our time with Richy and we have taken time to build his fitness base up. He has worked hard, trimmed down and looks lean now. He’s good to go now.
“Lucas Bergvall picked up a knock but trained this morning and there are no problems
“Sonny is good and worked hard last two weeks. Good for him the two weeks, he’s had a solid week and looking to get back out there.“
All three players are expected to at least feature against the Hammers. Wilson Odobert, on the other hand, will remain out for a while longer.
Can’t return quickly enough
For the Postecoglou train to continue chugging along at Spurs for as long as possible, it is absolutely imperative the team have most of their players at their disposal for most part.
So the players cannot return quickly enough. Of course, an injury relapse is also possible, so Postecoglou’s coaching team will need to be extra careful with the players here.
One can only hope the injury list does not increase, however likely that may be to happen given both Postecoglou’s style of play and the upcoming hectic part of an already very hectic calendar.
