Podcast host ear-marks Tottenham talent Dorrington for much needed loan spell.

Tottenham Hotspur endured a slow start to their 2024/25 campaign, and the pressure mounted on Ange Postecoglou before the release, where the Lilywhites went on a five-game run and things looked on the up; however, preceding the recently concluded international break, the Lilywhites suffered a defeat in such a manner.

Spurs endured a 3-2 defeat against Brighton & Hove Albion, where they conceded three second-half goals in some twenty minutes after leading by two goals in the first half. The result met my headlines across the English press, and the pressure was on the Greek-born tactician once again.

There have been multiple cases of defensive lapses under Ange Postecoglou at White Hart Lane, and many want the head coach to move away from his all-out attack tactics to bring some stability.

However, that result was a fortnight ago, and the Lilywhites head coach and his staff have had a breather to think and iron out the problems. And he will get to put those to test at the weekend as the Premier League resumes and Tottenham are set to host West Ham at the N17 on Saturday.

Going into the game, while Spurs will be expected to win the fixture, any other result would back them into the corner once again.

Sutton backs Spurs for win

And former England striker Chris Sutton thinks that Tottenham will return to winning ways in tomorrow’s London Derby fixture against Julen Lopetegui’s side, especially with the boost of having Son Heung Min back among the squad.

Speaking to BBC Sport, Sutton suggested that the Lilywhites will win the fixture by a 3-1 margin, stating:

“I am expecting them to bounce back here, helped by the fact that Son Heung-min is in contention after a few weeks out.

“I’ve been saying it for a while now, but Tottenham are going to give someone an absolute hiding sooner or later. I don’t think it will happen against the Hammers, but I do think they will win this one easily enough.”
