Tottenham Hotspur enjoyed an exciting 4-1 win over West Ham at White Hart Lane in an early Saturday Premier League kick-off.

The Lilywhites started the game in the back-foot when the Hammers versatile forward Mohammed Kudus found past Vicario in the 18th minute; however, Ange Postecoglou‘s side turned the game around to come out with all three points after trailing 1-0 early on. They found the back of the net in the 36th minute when James Maddison laid off to Dejan Kulusevski, who curled it past Areola.

The game was all level going into halftime before the North Londoners put three past the visitors in mere seven minutes to put the game to bed.

Sherwood thinks Postecoglou will be bouncing to go into his post game presser

The Lilywhites came from behind to win the game, and former Spurs manager Tim Sherwood claims that Tottenham head coach would be bouncing to get into the post-match conference after all the criticisms he received following their defeat against Brighton last Premier League gameweek.

To put a bit of context to his words, Ange was on the receiving end of ample criticism after his side let go of a 2-0 first half lead at American Express Stadium as the Seagulls scored three goals in the space of twenty minutes to clinch a memorable win, and a lot of supporters and pundits alike went on to suggest how ‘spursy’ it was of Tottenham to do that.

And speaking to the Premier League website, the 55-year-old said:

“Ange cannot wait now, he’s bouncing up to that press conference. He dealt with criticism after the Brighton performance, rightly so. But the accusation that Spurs are ‘Spursy’ – that’s not a ‘Spursy’ performance. That’s West Ham being ‘Spursy’ today.

“That’s a top side manager. Everyone has a ‘Spursy’ moment, but the fans have to get behind Postecoglu, give him more support. They have to let him take this team as far as he possibly can.”

It was a splendid win for Spurs, and they will now be looking to build on the rampage against the Hammers as they host AZ Alkmaar at White Hart Lane on Thursday.
