Tottenham are planning to sell a fully-fit Richarlison in the summer
Tottenham Hotspur boss Ange Postecoglou confirmed earlier this week that Richarlison is expected to be fit for Saturday’s lunch-time kick-off against West Ham.
Richarlison has not played since making a substitute appearance against Everton in Spurs’ second game of the new season. A calf injury picked up in training has seen the Brazilian forward miss his side’s last eight games across all competitions. He has played just 25 minutes for the Lilywhites so far this season.
According to a report from GIVEMESPORT, Tottenham will slowly reintegrate Richarlison into the side after his spell on the sidelines through injury. This is partially because the club wants the forward to be fully fit so he can be sold in the summer.

Injury issues and lack of consistency have been the theme of the 27-year-old’s tenure at N17 since arriving for big money from Everton in the summer of 2022. The £90,000 per-week star has missed 30 games for Spurs due to a combination of hamstring, calf and groin injury problems (Transfermarkt).
As a result, Postecoglou, his coaching staff and the medical team will be extremely cautious regarding Richarlison’s fitness management and game time, to avoid any risk of early setbacks. The aforementioned report adds he will not be rushed back from injury in part to protect him as well as his stock, with a potential sale in mind in 2025.
This will possibly limit the South American’s minutes under Big Ange before he is pushed out. The return of Richarlison will certainly delight the Spurs boss, who will have another attacking option available at his disposal for the upcoming games.
Big Ange has been operating with a limited set of attacking players, thanks to the absences of Richarlison, Son Heung-min and Wilson Odobert leaving him just with Dejan Kulusevski, Brennan Johnson, Timo Werner and Dominic Solanke.
Tottenham are committed to helping Richarlison return to peak fitness levels, and feel as though not rushing him back and overloading him with minutes early on is vital to achieving this. This will help the team but also due to the fact that the North London side are planning to offload the forward from their books.

Richarlison has a contract at White Hart Lane until the summer of 2027 (Transfermarkt), so Spurs may get a decent fee should they decide to part ways with him in June, provided he is managed well from now on and until the end of the season.
