Tottenham Hotspur have ample of young players in their roster with a transfer policy change from Daniel Levy aiding Ange Postecoglou with a lot of talented potential who the Greek-born tactician can shape as per his playing style. And we have seen how the former Celtic coach isn’t shy about handing minutes to young players who deserve to have a run-in with the first team.
The Australian was on the receiving end of major criticism earlier this season owing to the wholesale changes that he was making in the Europa League and Carabao Cup games. A highly changed side nearly cost the Lilywhites multiples times, but Ange has stuck with it.
Now, John Wenham, the owner of the reputable Spurs podcast Lilywhite Rose, wants the North Londoners to start academy duo Mikey Moore and Will Lankshear in the remaining UEFA Europa League league fixtures. He insists that the experience of starting in Europe will benefit the aforementioned duo greatly.
Wenham wants Moore and Lankshear to start
Moore as well as Lankshear were handed their first starts for Spurs in their most recent Europa League outing against Ferencváros at the Groupama Arena on 3rd October, a fixture that they won 2-1. And Wenham, speaking in an exclusive interview with Tottenham News, said:

“I want Moore and Lankshear to start each of these six matches we have left in the initial phase of the Europa League. Could you imagine the experience that would give them? Starting away against the likes of Galatasaray and Rangers.
“That would be fantastic long-term experience banked for the pair of them. Hopefully, it happens.”
While the Australians might be dubious about starting both players, however, the Lilywhites are in a comfortable place in the UEL League table after winning both of their opening fixtures and it might reap long term benefits at White Hart Lane.
