Tottenham keen on Borussia Dortmund winger Jamie Bynoe-Gittens
Tottenham Hotspur enjoyed a productive summer transfer window where Daniel Levy not only made some exciting signings but also let go of many players.
The North London giants have changed their transfer policy of late, with Daniel Levy and Co. focusing on bringing in young players who can make an impression at the Hotspur Way in the long term. This shift in transfer recruitment and strategy saw our club bring in the likes of Archie Gray, Lucas Bergvall and Wilson Odobert whilst agreeing on a deal with Gangwon FC winger Yang Min-hyuk, who is set to officially join the club in January.
Tottenham are planning to continue their recruitment drive of young talents in the forthcoming transfer windows as the club’s chiefs aim to create a conveyor belt of exciting players who can develop at N17 under the watchful eyes of Ange Postecoglou.
According to a report from Football Insider (h/t CaughtOffside), Spurs are keen on signing Borussia Dortmund prodigy Jamie Bynoe-Gittens.

The Lilywhites are closely monitoring the Borussia Dortmund winger, who is dubbed as the next Jude Bellingham”. While Jamie Bynoe-Gittens is a different profile, he is a sublime talent like Bellingham, who moved to Real Madrid from Dortmund in 2023.
Bynoe-Gittens, who arrived in Germany from Manchester City in the summer of 2020, enjoyed his breakthrough at Signal Iduna Park during the 2022/23 season. The England under-21 international enhanced his reputation further as one of Europe’s hottest young talents last season when he made 34 appearances across all competitions, scoring two goals and supplying eight assists in the process.
The fleet-footed wide attacker has been in great form for Dortmund this season, where he has already registered four goals and three assists in 10 appearances. Bynoe-Gittens has caught the eye with his displays in the Champions League, sparking interest from Spurs.
Given his importance to new boss Nuri Sahin’s side, the Bundesliga side are highly unlikely to sanction the youngster’s departure midway through the campaign. Thus, any potential move might have to wait until summer to come to fruition.
Spurs’ clear focus on youth recruitment aligns perfectly with how Big Ange wants his team to play. By signing the prodigious talents, Big Ange and his coaching team want to help them develop and unlock their full potential to either feature in the first team or be sold in the future.

Bynoe-Gittens is a special talent who has the qualities to develop into a superstar in the future. Tottenham may have to guarantee him regular opportunities in the first XI in order to sign him from Dortmund, so the ball lies in our court. If we are ready to offer him regular minutes and develop his talent, Spurs must table a concrete offer in the summer.
