Tottenham Hotspur have been subject to recent links with a move for RCD Espanyol attacker Javi Puado as the North Londoners lay the blue-print for 2025 transfer windows.
Daniel Levy will be looking to replicate the success that the club enjoyed in the recently concluded summer transfer window, where the North Londoners not only brought highly regarded players to Tottenham Hotspur but also ensured that the surplus at White Hart Lane is cleared off. Now, despite the window only ending recently, the chiefs at N17 have already started putting a plan in place to get a marginal advantage over their competitors.
Puado a potential target for Tottenham
The Lilywhites are ‘threatening’ to sign Puado following ‘positive reports’ around the player, per a recent report by La Razon. Spurs have been looking at the 26-year-old for some time as they continue to keep tabs on Alejo Veliz, who is on loan at the La Liga side from Tottenham. He will be a free agent at the conclusion of the ongoing season, which could persuade Daniel Levy to try and sign him for a bargain fee in the upcoming winter transfer window.
Javi Puado operates on the left wing; however, he is a versatile profile capable of operating along the front line.

He played magnificently to push Espanyol for a La Liga promotion last season with 17 goals in all competitions, and Puado has continued to do quite well in the Spanish top tier, scoring three goals so far in the 2024/25 campaign.
Winter or free?
The 26-year-old will also be open to a pre-agreement in the January transfer window, and it is to be seen if Tottenham would pursue a move for the wide forward right in the winter owing to recent injury troubles to Son and Timo Werner’s underwhelming performances or if Ange would push for a summer move when Spurs can sign him for free.
