Tottenham Hotspur have been subject to links with a move to sign a new striker as Ange Postecoglou looks to bring a commendable number two for Dominic Solanke up front. This comes as an aftermath to the club’s frustrations with Richarlison owing to his mediocre output complemented by his consistent time on the sidelines.
Richy has struggled to find his footing at White Hart Lane since making a high-profile move to North London from Everton in 2022, and his failure to replicate the Goodison Park form shows in the numbers he has put up at N17. The Brazilian international has scored just 15 goals in his time at Hotspur Way while aggregating 69 appearances.
Calvert-Lewin as Richarlison replacement?
There were rumours in the summer transfer window about a possible Spurs exit for Richarlison; however, while he survived the mass exodus then, it doesn’t look like he would be at Tottenham for a long time.

And while Richarlison has been linked with a move away, the club have already started looking at potential replacements, with another Everton forward, Dominic Calvert-Lewin, among potential targets. The England international is expected to be available on a free transfer as his contract with the Merseysiders comes due in less than twelve months, and Daniel Levy will be among the suitors looking to take advantage of the situation.
However, in a recent update by Football Insider, the Toffees are to submit a “huge” contract offer in a bid to convince their star striker to sign a new deal at the club. It is to be seen whether DCL would agree to the new terms or will seek out new challenges away from Everton.
