A large section of Tottenham Hotspur supporters have been praising and singing fine tunes of highly acclaimed youngster Luka Vušković. The teenager is expected to move to White Hart Lane in 2025 when he turns eighteen (18), with the Lilywhites having won the race to his signatures after paying £12 million to snap his services despite Manchester City and Paris Saint-Germain interest.
The Croatian has been on loan at Belgian club Westerlo in the ongoing season, where the 17-year-old has been showing signs of maturity and intent much beyond his age. And since his move to the North Londoners, Vušković has established himself as one of the most exciting upcoming defenders in European football, and that shows how splendid work that Tottenham and the scours at Hotspur Way did to land his signatures.
Wenham praises Vuskovic signing
And John Wenham, owner of the reputable Spurs podcast Lilywhite Rose, has hailed the club for completing his signatures and established his astonishment at how Spurs were able to land the defender ahead of Manchester City.
Speaking in an exclusive interview with Tottenham News, Wenham acknowledged that the youngster is set for big things. He said:
-> Tottenham insider blasts ‘silly’ Tottenham stars for unjust West Ham theatrics
“He seems to score in every single game he plays. He’s on a crazy trajectory. As a result, the likes of Manchester City and PSG must be thinking ‘How did we let Spurs sign him ahead of us?’”
“It was an amazing bit of business by Tottenham and the whole club deserves huge credit for getting a deal over the line.”
There isn’t any clarity about how serious Manchester City were to landing Luka Vušković, but bagging on the fact that the North Londoners were able to secure his services ahead of such competition speaks volumes about the vision and scouting efforts at N17. And the excitement that Wenham expresses is a reflection of the optimism that all the Tottenham fans are feeling with the 17-year-old.
