There have been advancing reports suggesting the aggressive nature of Amanda Staveley and the probable advancing takeover at White Hart Lane. The 51-year-old, alongside her husband Mehrdad Ghodoussi, gave away her allotment at Newcastle United three months ago in order to pursue an attempt to take charge of the Lilywhites.
Her involvement with Saudi Arabia’s Public Investment Fund’s (PIF) in a multi-million-dollar takeover in October 2021 has been widely known, and her time with the Toons has seen Eddie Howe’s side on the up, which has also got the North Londoners supporters quite excited.
Staveley looks all set to invest in Tottenham, with the reports compounding after she was spotted at White Hart Lane in the NFL fixture between the Chicago Bears and the Jacksonville Jaguars earlier this month.
Levy and Staveley could form “perfect” partnership
And looking at the takeover rumours, John Wenham, the owner of the reputable Spurs podcast Lilywhite Rose, believes that Daniel Levy and Amanda Staveley could form a “perfect” partnership at White Hart Lane if the takeover were to go through. While there isn’t a lot known about the role that she would take on behind the scenes, Wenham shows optimism that Staveley can bring her track record and business capacities, which can ultimately go on to complement Levy’s experience at running the club.

Speaking in an exclusive interview with Tottenham News, Wenham said:
“I’m not sure how visible Staveley would be. You look at Sir Jim Ratcliffe at Manchester United, he hasn’t got complete ownership, but he is very visible. Staveley being visible could suit Levy.
“He likes to work in the shadows and do things behind the scenes, rather than being seen as the face and taking criticism. Therefore, that could be perfect for both parties. Staveley could be visible and be seen as the face, which means if things aren’t going well, she would naturally take the blame. Meanwhile, Levy can work in the background.”
The sharing of powers would be an interesting prospect, as both Levy and Amanda are well known for their shrewd approach and decision-making, though does that mean the pair can go on to complement one another? That has to be seen.
