Tottenham Hotspur wide forward and attacking midfielder Dejan Kulusevski has been playing some slick football off late, especially his last weekend’s performance against West Ham, which was an inspired afternoon. With all the good he has been doing, many think the Swede international could be one of the integral members of Ange Postecoglou‘s squad and one of the best signings the club has made in recent history.
Di Marzio reveals Gunners’ interest in Kulusevski
He is one of the most technically potent players that the Lilywhites have on their roster at Hotspur Way, and highly acclaimed Italian journalist Gianluca Di Marzio insists that when the North Londoners were pursuing a move for then Juventus forward, Arsenal tried in vain to beat Tottenham for his signature.
Di Marzio went on to acknowledge how the player has come a long way from his time in the Italian top tier as he overcame the ‘dark period’ at Juventus and became a ‘totally reliable player’ at White Hart Lane. He goes on to suggest how the’versatility and physical strength’ that the 24-year-old possesses make him ‘irreplaceable’ at N17.
Arsenal were interested in signing Dusan Vlahovic from Fiorentina in 2022; however, when that failed, the Gunners pivoted to Kulusevski. However, Fabio Paratici led the charge to ensure that he moves to Tottenham.
The Swede has looked more slick when operating from the middle as he finds a way to come out of tight spaces and open up spaces for Tottenham, and we have seen that multiple times this season where the Australian head coach has preferred to have Deki operate from the middle over Maddison to unlock spaces and move the game.

Given how good Kulusevski has been for Tottenham, the supporters would be hoping that he continues to shine and grow with the team and Levy’s ambitions.
