Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Archie Gray has been subject to links with a loan move away from White Hart Lane as he struggles to find minutes under his belt for his new employers. The teenager moved to Spurs in the recently concluded summer transfer window when Daniel Levy and his team acted in the eleventh hour to secure his signatures from under Brentford’s noses.
Eyebrows were raised as the North Londoners paid £40m for his signatures; however, in doing so, Tottenham landed one of the most exciting upcoming players in English football.
Tottenham unlikely to loan Gray to Sevilla
Though as he looked to find a few minutes under his belt, Victor Orta, who played an important role in Archie’s upbringing at Leeds United and is now Sevilla’s current director of football, appeared keen to bring the teenager to the Spanish top tier to ascertain he finds regular minutes under his belt. Sevilla were said to be placing themselves in a position where they can land Gray on a loan deal in the winter window (h/t Mucho Deporte).

That being said, as per a recent report via. Estadio Deportivo, the Lilywhites teenager is not considered a realistic target for Sevilla. And the report goes on to explain that Spurs are expecting Gray to find plenty of game time in the stretch of the season, in turn making Sevilla’s chances to sign him very low.
There is also a claim about how Spurs would not consider loaning any player to Sevilla after their poor treatment of Alejo Veliz in the previous campaign.
