Tottenham Hotspur have already been pondering their next transfer window moves as Daniel Levy looks to repeat the success that the Lilywhites enjoyed in the recently concluded transfer interval, and the chiefs at Hotspur Way have reportedly identified Borussia Dortmund wide-forward Jamie Bynoe-Gittens as a potential target going into 2025.

Ange Postecoglou is looking to add depth and quality to his forward line, and signing a high-pace, power winger who can dribble his way out of tight spaces in Jamie Byone-Gittens might do the job. The North Londoners representative has been a regular presence among the audience at Bundesliga giants to scout the player alongside Premier League heavyweights Chelsea, per German outlet Bild.

Will Spurs break the bank for Dortmund’s rising star?

Daniel Levy agrees there is a major 'probem' in English football; cites long-term interests.
Is Bynoe-Gittens worth the hefty price tag?

However, any move for the 20-year-old will expectedly come hefty to the bank balance as Borussia Dortmund are expected to demand fees along the lines of £83 million plus for the winger.

And John Wenham, owner of the reputable Spurs podcast Lilywhite Rose, believes that Bynoe-Gittens price will only inflate from here, as he insists that the club should not sign the player if that means it would hinder the progress of academy starlet Mikey Moore.

Should Tottenham prioritize homegrown talent over Bynoe-Gittens?

Speaking in an exclusive interview with Tottenham News, Wenham expressed his struggle to see Tottenham sign the Dortmund winger. He said:

“He seems to be getting quite a lot of minutes with Dortmund. Therefore, it is likely his price is increasing all the time. He is another player I wouldn’t want to be signed if it is going to impact Moore’s progress at the club in any way, shape, or form.

“I’d rather we develop our own homegrown talents and give them opportunities. We also have Wilson Odobert as well. As a result, I don’t see Spurs signing Gittens.”

Given the substantial interest in the player, it is difficult to see Tottenham win the race to sign Bynoe-Gittens. Do you think Spurs have a chance to sign the 20-year-old sensation? Let us know your thoughts in the comments below.
