Postecoglou highlights 'unbelievable' Tottenham star's prowess in Man City and Villa wins.

Tottenham Hotspur have been linked with a move to sign a new midfielder in the upcoming winter transfer window, and the North Londoners have been vying a move for AC Milan maestro Tijjani Reijnders as they look to add quality in the middle of the park.

The Lilywhites sold veteran duo Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg and Giovani Lo Celso in the summer transfer window and didn’t replace their experience on the roster, something that has cost Ange Postecoglou on multiple occasions in the ongoing campaign. And he has been looking to ensure that the blows don’t continue in the second half of the season by bringing in a new midfielder this winter.

In Tijjani Reijnders, Spurs have identified a midfielder who likes to control the game from the middle of the park and has the technical ability to stamp his authority on games. The 26-year-old possesses vision, passing range, and ball retention skills, which makes him an ideal player to fill the void left by Hojbjerg and Lo Celso in the midfield as he brings the much-needed balance and creativity at White Hart Lane.

While the North Londoners look to add quality and depth in the midfield, they may be forced to look elsewhere as the Italian giants are reluctant to lose Tijjani Reijnders in the midst of an ongoing campaign, per Football Insider.

The report further suggests that it could force the Lilywhites to pivot as they will be looking to add more players in the January transfer window and potentially explore other options to strengthen their midfield.
