Potential two-to-four week absence as Tottenham ace suffers new injury

Tottenham Hotspur are showing a keen interest in Inter Milan star Marcus Thuram.

Tottenham Hotspur forward Richarlison has been a frustrating presence in Ange Postecoglou’s camp owing to his consistent presence in the injury room, complemented by the fact that he struggles to find his feet in North London.

The Brazilian international was designated to serve as a deputy to Dominic Solanke in the ongoing 2024/25 campaign; however, that hasn’t been the case with the 27-year-old spending most of the season in the treatment room. Spurs chiefs as well as supporters have been growing frustrated with his lack of availability that has caused Daniel Levy to consider replacing the former Watford star.

Another setback for Richarlison

Richarlison faces another spell on the sidelines

The Lilywhites forward was dealt another injury blow in their latest game against Aston Villa, where the Brazilian international came on as a substitute just before the hour mark, albeit managing to complete only 27 minutes on the pitch before suffering from a hamstring injury.

He was stretching to lay off a cross to striker Dominic Solanke, which eventually led to Nonrth Londoners third goal for the afternoon, though Richy soon went down holding his hamstring and looking heartbroken.

And according to social media platform Physio Scout, who gives insights about injuries and analyses potential problems, the player suffered from a probable hamstring strain rather than tightness, as they went on to reveal that he could face a possible two to four weeks on the sidelines if it is a grade one strain.

However, if it is a grade two strain, Richarlison will have to serve the sidelines for four to six weeks.

This comes as a massive blow to Ange Postecoglou, who would have loved a rotation option for Solanke amid a run of congested fixtures. Hopefully it is not as serious, and we see Richarlison playing for Tottenham again.
