Tottenham Hotspur defender Sergio Reguilon has been subjected to links with a move away from White Hart Lane as he looks to conclude his disastrous time in North London when the January transfer window reopens.
The Spaniard has been struggling to accumulate regular game time under his belt, donning the Lilywhites badge. And the 27-year-old is looking to leave the club to get some consistent minutes.
Reguilon linked with Sevilla return
Regular has been linked with a move to Spanish giants Sevilla in the winter window. The La Liga giants have been left unimpressed with Brighton and Hove Albion loanee Valentin Barco, and they are prepared to send him back to the English top-tier side in January, and they’ve already been looking at potential alternative alternatives for the Argentine, per Fichajes.
Signing Reguilon makes perfect sense for Sevilla as of now, with the 27-year-old having already played for them in the past, and the fact that he knows the club inside and out will make it easier for the Real Madrid graduate to make an immediate impact for the La Liga giants.
Reguilon has been looking to rejuvenate his career following his difficult time at Tottenham, and potential back home could help him do exactly so.
For Tottenham, they are looking to get rid of the player in the winter window, and a possible move to Sevilla could work out perfectly for all parties.
