Grealish to Spurs? Hutton sees potential despite financial hurdles

Tottenham Hotspur have been looking for a potential deal to bring Manchester City wide forward Jack Grealish to White Hart Lane as Daniel Levy looks to compound offensive options in Ange Postecoglou’s dressing room. The former Aston Villa star has been reduced to a bits-and-parts role at Manchester Blues, and he would be looking to move to a place where he gets some regular game time under his belt.

There have been reports about the North Londoners having serious interest in the 29-year-old’s signature. However, for Spurs to have any opportunity to land his signature, they will have to make him the highest-paid player at Hotspur Way. The England international is on a massive £300,000 a week contract at Manchester City, and he is likely to demand equally substantial wages at N17.

Spurs eye Osorio as Grealish alternative

Tottenham could turn to Osorio amidst Grealish pursuit

Pondering on the possibilities of landing him, Spurs could pivot to 20-year-old Chilean international Dario Osorio instead, per GMS. The South American winger has been on the Lilywhites radar for a while, and Levy could be more interested in making a long-term investment that has the potential to reap massive dividends for years to come and, vis-à-vis, would be less of a financial burden for Tottenham.

Osorio is currently playing trade in the Danish first tier with FC Midtjylland, and any potential interest from the North Londoners would tempt the Chilean to move away from his current employers.

Spurs have been looking to add quality and depth in the offensive role, and they would be hoping Osorio can provide the needed dynamic alternative out wide.

Known for his dribbling skills and agility, the 20-year-old has shown flashes of high potential with FC Midtjylland, which aligns well with Spurs’ strategy of developing high-potential players under Postecoglou’s guidance.
