AC Milan still keen on Serge Aurier in January window

Tottenham right-back Serge Aurier has started our last two Premier League games and has looked good.

The Ivorian wasn’t the first-choice at the start of the campaign, with Kyle Walker-Peters getting the nod. Davinson Sanchez was also tried out in the position but that didn’t work out too well.

Aurier was one of the stars in our 4-0 win over Crystal Palace and thought he had scored against Leicester City but VAR ruled out his effort as Son Heung-min was offside.

The Ivorian hasn’t been able to shine consistently since his move from Paris Saint-Germain and was linked with a move to AC Milan in the summer (h/t Calciomercato).

However, Milan are still keen on the 26-year-old and want to sign him in January, according to SportMediaset. The Italian giants see Aurier as a replacement for Andrea Conti, who has struggled at the club (h/t Calciomercato).

Spurs to allow Aurier to leave?

The Ivorian is a better cover for Walker-Peters as he is a natural right-back, and it will be interesting to see if Spurs allow Aurier to leave.

We cannot rely on Juan Foyth and Sanchez to cover for the English youngster as they aren’t comfortable playing in that position. Aurier also provides us with better crosses compared to other players.

The Ivorian has had his injury problems since joining from PSG and has struggled for consistency. We need Walker-Peters back as quickly as possible and hopefully, we can turn things around.
